Decided to do some online research and came across this forum. The bigger the engine size the quicker the water heats up. Draw down occurs when there are restrictions in the shower’s hot and cold supplies, such as scale. If at any point the shower begins to spit or splutter then stop turning the dial and wait for the air to clear before continuing towards the hot,. It now seems that I was too optimistic. Leesparkykent , May 9, When cleaning an Aqualisa product, we advise that you use warm soapy water or non-abrasive bathroom cleaning products. Posting a message to the forum will remove the above advertisement. If you are on a gravity fed water system with a cold water tank, we would advise to check for an air lock. A follow up to the above post. Sort out the problems with your electrics as advised. Mains Cold Water Only.
If this does not rectify the issue then it will mean that there is a fault with the shower. Be careful not to lose the O-ring. I suggest you concentarte your efforts on solving the cause and not the effect.
The good news is an air lock is relatively straightforward to fix. A follow up to the above post. I might learn a thing or two. Return the valve assembly to your shower unit, re-grease the O-ring that goes between the pump and valve assembly, lift up the pump slightly, fit the re-greased O-ring and connect the mixer valve assembly to the pump.
Blue lights do come on though. I haven’t tried your idea of holding the boost button while restoring power, but as I’ve got an Aqualisa engineer arriving sopving week they’re very busy it seems I’ll wait to discuss this issue with them.
I have to admit I was totally sceptical about this fix but it worked first time. Any hot water coming through? Use paper towel to clean the plastic valve assemblies, metal plates, rubber O-rings shoeer spring loaded valves of any old grease and water. If the leak is coming from a small hole behind the hose connection, this will mean that the Pressure Relief Device PRD has activated due to a blockage or restriction within the shower head.
My shower had this exact problem and the fix you mentioned worked perfectly first time, many thanks. Constant drip from the head. Turn off the hot and cold water.
I have a similar issue with an Aqualisa Quartz 9. Various installation guides aquqlisa Aqualisa ‘Axis’: Check that the maximum temperature on the hot water supply is not above 65degrees.

Also, the Quartz single outlet model has a boost feature whereas the Visage single outlet does not have a boost feature. I’d wait until tomorrow morning, and speak to Aqualisa.
If these are all ok then it will mean that the loom assembly will require replacing. Especially on an order of a few items. One of the most common reasons for a Aqualisa Quartz shower unit to suddenly stop working is an air lock in the system. The open vent silving is the pipe which rises from the top of the hot water cylinder and hangs over the cold water tank.
