I do hate modern interiors, that try to look upmarket with fake aluminum, fake lancai, fake carbon…I prefer old Jag interiors. When the Thesis was launched inLancia wanted a flagship to re-position the brand as a maker of convincing luxury cars, an Italian Mercedes if you like.
But the devil is in the detail. Thesis was replaced starting from by a new flagship sedan, based on the next-generation Chryslerre-branded in continental Europe as the Lancia Thema  .
Estate versions were also available with Boge- Nivomat self-levelling hydropneumatic rear suspension. But the Thesis felt controllable and if you really had to cover kilometres using b-roads, thesiss car would do it opinje complaint. I had a look at the Kappa as a used car but they are too old my wife wants hundreds of airbags and the three on sale here are a bit leggy. What really got me, apart from cheap materials described by previous poster, was that the wheelbase was too long for decent handling.
The construction of the Thesis was fairly conventional: Independent multilink suspension, coil springs with telescopic Skyhook adaptive damping, torsion bar. Dynamically, the Thesis offers very good refinement and a generous turn of speed. The Thesis is equipped with 6-speed manual or 5-speed automatic “Comfortronic” not for 2. The market has belatedly discovered what excellent cars they are. On at least two of the white cars, rivulets caused by running paint are very clearly visible. The lack of ostentation has often been a Lancia feature: When the door clunked home it felt as if each element of the closure was machined to a fine tolerance.
